Your passport to outback fun and adventure
Stephanie Mills Gallery Outback Tours have captured the very best of life in Western Queensland and rolled it into a selection of fun, action packed, hands on adventures. No other tour allows you to get this "up close and personal" with the true soul of the Australian outback. The region is rich in history, Aussie larakins, wildlife, natural beauty and wonder and is just about as “outback” as you can get. Each tour invites you to take part in authentic outback experiences including sheep shearing and wool handling, farming demonstrations, homestead and property visits, opal tours, bird watching, fishing and kayaking, camel safari, sand boarding, mineral mud baths, a camp oven dinner and a good old fashioned “pub crawl”.
At Yowah you get to explore the open cut opal mines and fossick for your very own opal. Once you stake your claim you can take your precious stone back to Trafford and Val’s Yowah Gallery where they will cut your find before your very eyes, who knows this could be the big one!
Act out your “Indiana Jones” fantasy and navigate your way across the 70 metre swinging footbridge, never before open to the public. Arriving at the homestead, have morning tea and relish in the friendly country hospitality offered by station owners Chris and Mike Webster.
Today you will embark on a journey of a lifetime onboard Willy’s camel wagon safari. Grab your camera and step aboard “Willies Camel Wagon” for real adventure as you take a journey with Willie and his amazing camels. Don’t get stuck sitting near “Zous” as he has been nicknamed “Slobber Guts” by other jovial travellers.
