Starting operations in 1997, with only Barossa Valley tours, Groovy Grape Getaways have grown to cover the best of Southern and Central Australia and recently extended up to the Top End from May 2009. Our range of tours encompass exciting and iconic Australian destinations, such as the Great Ocean Road and Grampians in Victoria; Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Kings Canyon in the Red Centre and the Flinders Ranges, Coober Pedy, Kangaroo Island and Barossa Valley in South Australia.
Groovy Grape Getaways caters to the backpacker market who want fun informative adventurous trips. We are a young, active and energetic tour company: our tours and passengers reflect this. Our guides are knowledgeable and interactive with a passion about where we go and what we do. Our trips are always enjoyable and informative, as our guides know each of the places you’ll visit and understand its history, culture and people.
With our coasters having a maximum of 21 comfortable seats, air-conditioning, music, with top quality swags at the end of a day in the outback and comfortable hostel accommodation and delicious meals that cater for dietary requirements.
All Groovy Grape Getaways trips are all inclusive trips. All meals, accommodation and National Park fees are included. No nasty surprises! We have radio communications on board, carry an approved first-aid kit and all guides have current first-aid certificates.
Our culturally aware tours have been endorsed with accreditations for Eco Tourism and Tourism Business. We have been awarded the Best Tour Operator in Australia at the 2008 Golden Backpack Awards, the only awards program dedicated to the backpacker segment.
