You can at Cellblock Backpackers Bundaberg...Cellblock is a heritage listed ex police station, transformed into the most modern backpacker resort in the region. Complementing the rooms is secure personal storage, king single beds and hotel-style security card entry – as safe as a police station! With lots of open space and grassy courtyards, a 17 metre swimming pool, licensed bar, movie room, two stainless steel kitchens, commercial laundry facilities, vending machines and even an ATM, Cellblock has every amenity expected by the most discerning backpacker. While the sometimes haunting past of this 125 year old police station still echoes through the corridors and jail cells, the facilities of Cellblock have earned the reputation of being a ‘5 star backpacker resort’.
Harvest Work Cellblock has an established work program, which provides upto 150 jobs a day on local farms, with transport to and from work.
Facilities: Cellblock has transformed this old Police Station to a modern 5 star Resort which includes a Trendy Outdoor Licensed Bar with Nightlife, 17m Swimming Pool, Movie Room, Internet Café, Vending Machines & Laundry for all your needs.
Rooms: Celllbock offers accommodation upto 155 people where you can choose from the jail cells originally used for solitary confinement (ideal for couples - double beds). Or 3 to 10 person dorms. All rooms have king sized single beds.
