Cape trib exotic fruit farm

An adventure in taste

Cape Trib Exotic Fruit Farm offers an Exotic Fruit Tasting and Farm Tour daily at 2pm. Taste a menu of ten different rare fruit, learn how to prepare and eat the fruit, and then walk through the orchard which has more than 2000 fruit trees from the Amazon, Borneo and the Caribbean. Exotic tropical fruit comes in all shapes and sizes - some are hairy, others have bumps or sharp spikes. Often the most unusual fruit turns out to the most delicious, with names like 'chocolate pudding fruit'. Don't miss this unique opportunity. Booking is essential.

The star apple is a big purple fruit the size of an orange, and when you cut it in half, a magical star pattern emerges. The fruit comes from the Philippines and tastes like sweet marshmellow.

Native to the West Indies and Central America where it is used to make a refreshing drink. The taste is sweet, acidic and refreshing and one of the most popular fruits on the tasting.

Rollinia - can you believe that nature has created this wonderful bright yellow fruit with black spots, and skin with the texture of a spongy dinosaur? This fruit tastes like lemon meringue pie - creamy and luscious.
